Split Open

My head hurts. Its a searing pain on the left side of my head, from the base of my skull, to my eyes, then to the top of my crown of hair, and down the other side. Nothing seems to relieve me.

The pain is sharp and slams into me. Not a nice gift when aroused. If I continue to climax, it feels like someone is squeezing my head with their wide open hands, to the point my skull will crush like a melon under pressure.

Push the pain back. Push the feeling off of me. This isn’t supposed to be painful. Why won’t the pain stop?

Five hours later my head still hurts. Why would anyone want to be aroused or have intercourse if this is what happens? Twenty years, I have thought this kind of reaction was because I didn’t like losing control which was triggering my body to react this way.

I now know that isn’t true. The only way this pain is “normal,” is because other people suffer from this as well. I am just one of the unlucky ones. Gynecologists need to start asking, “Do you have any intense headaches before, after or during the following activities?

Will I ever get my chance to feel alive, to feel enjoyment. I don’t want to keep feeling like I am going to die.
